Our vision is to connect, engage, and inspire all students in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District to reach academic excellence. We, the educators of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District, will instill habits of reflection and inquiry to challenge our students in setting ambitious academic and personal goals. Students will develop a strong voice to express thoughts and ideas in the community and the confidence to showcase their talents and successes in preparation for entry into college and the world of work. 

 

There is a TWO hour delayed opening today, November 16. The middle and high schools will open at 9:50, and the elementary schools will open at 10:45. Students in the middle and high schools will still be dismissed on the half day schedule, and parent conferences will be held today.

AM pre-k sessions at Page Hilltop and LAW are cancelled today.

The Applied Arts Department incorporates the school’s computer education, music and performing arts, health, physical education, and visual arts programs.
Ayer Shirley High School Social Studies Department aims to educate all students on our collective past in order to enhance their understanding of the world in which we live.
The study of mathematics helps us think critically about the problems we face each day, develops skills for competing in a global economy and helps students fulfill college acceptance requirements.
The science department strives to provide all students with a solid, well-rounded science education. We believe that our students need to acquire scientific reasoning and critical thinking skills in order to become life-long learners who are able to apply these skills to solving problems in an ever changing world.
The library supports the high school curriculum by providing materials in a variety of formats and through instruction in cooperation with subject area teachers.
