Our vision is to connect, engage, and inspire all students in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District to reach academic excellence. We, the educators of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District, will instill habits of reflection and inquiry to challenge our students in setting ambitious academic and personal goals. Students will develop a strong voice to express thoughts and ideas in the community and the confidence to showcase their talents and successes in preparation for entry into college and the world of work.

April Blog

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have entered the final quarter of the 2016 – 2017 school year; I cannot believe how quickly this year is going by! Following are some updates from Ayer Shirley Regional High School:

 There is an open gym night for 8th and 9th grade students tonight, April 6th at ASRHS. It is FREE for 8th grade students and $3.00 for 9th grade students. There will be a concession stand open if students would like to purchase snacks. In addition, students may want to bring blankets/sleeping bags to get comfortable for the movie!

 Ayer Shirley FIRST Robotics Team will be competing in the New England Championship at UNH, Durham on April 6th, April 7th , and April 8th. Good luck to Andromedia One!

 Spring Fling Week is April 10th – 14th. There will be both daytime and evening activities for students. This is sponsored by Student Council.

 There is a senior parent meeting on April 11th in the ASRHS Commons to discuss upcoming senior activities and the senior cookout. Please see the enclosed Senior Calendar for other important dates and reminders for ALL students.

 Band Trip – BSO Rehearsal, April 13th.

 On April 13th there is an open house at ASRHS for 8th grade parents from 1PM – 2PM. Parents are invited to see classes in session and chat with teachers who may not have a class at that time. Students will be conducting tours of the building so parents can see the facility from a student’s point of view and also see teaching and learning in action!

 Spring Vacation is April 17th – 21st

.

 Congratulations Katherine Blood, Jillian Folger, Christian Hoffman, Alex Patano, Allison Steeves, and Hann Tu for being published in The Marble Collection. For more information about The Marble Collection visit https://themarblecollection.org. Thank you to Mrs. Wittmier for working with students each year to get them published!

 Marie Morales, an ASRHS senior, is conducting a fundraiser for her senior Capstone Project. Please see the attached for additional information.

 Mrs. Terry Wallace, Administrative Assistant in School Counseling, was selected as ASRHS Employee of the Month for March.
