How do you communicate with friends, family, and co-workers? How do your children connect with their friends, teachers, and relatives? Like many families, my own family stays connected via text, phone, Facetime, etc, and it is an easy and convenient way to keep or to get in touch.
However, think about how reliant teenagers and 20somethings are on technology and social media. Are they connected and alone? What has this done to their social and interviewing skills when they don't even have to pick up a phone to have a real audible conversation?

In addition, she makes us think about what kind of connections we want to have. The URL is as follows: https://www.ted.com/talks/sherry_turkle_alone_together
