Our vision is to connect, engage, and inspire all students in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District to reach academic excellence. We, the educators of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District, will instill habits of reflection and inquiry to challenge our students in setting ambitious academic and personal goals. Students will develop a strong voice to express thoughts and ideas in the community and the confidence to showcase their talents and successes in preparation for entry into college and the world of work.

December Blog

December Updates:
Special thanks to our PTO for organizing a presentation by Odds Bodkin, Master Storyteller. He presented an animated storytelling session with music on the topic of kindness. The students actively participated for interactive parts of this program; and, I was impressed how students answered Mr. Bodkin’s questions about the stories with rich details!

In November, we hosted our Community Reading Day which was very successful! I appreciate the support from our community to spend time with us and read a book to our students. The day was filled with smiles as everyone greeted our readers from the past!  Thank you to all who came to LAW to celebrate the joy of reading!

We had excellent support from our police and fire departments while practicing school evacuation drill the end of November. Students exited the building in an efficient and orderly manner.

December is a lovely time of year! I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere of gratitude and giving. During this time of year, I feel very grateful for my good friends, colleagues at work and family.

Here is a resource to help children be more grateful- click here to access it!

Lost and Found:
I encourage all parents to look through the lost and found prior to December 15. We have many jackets, coats, sweatshirts and much more! On December 15, we will donate any items that are left. Please let me know if you have any questions- thank you!
