Our vision is to connect, engage, and inspire every student to reach academic excellence. The educators of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District will instill habits of reflection and inquiry that challenge our students to set ambitious academic and personal goals. Students will develop a strong voice to express thoughts and ideas in the community, the confidence to showcase their talents, and academic and personal successes in preparation for entry into college and the world of work.

Reading is the basis for all educational successes!  Good readers are usually good writers and, as a result, good students.  At Page Hilltop we are dedicated to the academic growth of our young emerging readers and writers.

Our first graders have been on the “Reading Express” all year and are closing in on their goal of reading 5000 books this school year.

If you have a child in grades 2 - 5, they have the opportunity to participate in our Accelerated Reading Program (AR).  Contact your child’s teacher for details.

We have one week left in our “Read-a-Thon Challenge”.  Students can still sign up for this final week and enjoy pleasure reading while fundraising for a good cause.  Go to the following website:      https://www.read-a-thon.com/school/Page-Hilltop-Elementary-School_15221

Our “Read & Run Club”, open to all K - 5 students will begin after April vacation and continue every Friday morning at 7:30 am.  If you child has not yet signed up for the R&R Club, you may get a form at the office.

Our PTO will be hosting their annual Spring Book Fair from April 24 - 27.  This is a “buy one - get one” event.  Join us for the April PTO meeting on Thursday, April 6th (7:00 pm) and you may win some book fair coupons in our free raffles.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out in our school library.  Contact the office if you are interested.

Our Title I family  B-I-N-G-O Night will be held on May 25th.   Watch for details coming home soon.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 3rd  (6:30 pm) and join us for an amazing night of stories & music by master storyteller Odds Bodkin.

We are currently planning for our summer reading program as well as next year’s comprehensive literacy program.  Stay tuned for details!

Instill a love of literacy on your children!
