Our vision is to connect, engage, and inspire every student to reach academic excellence. The educators of the Ayer Shirley Regional School District will instill habits of reflection and inquiry that challenge our students to set ambitious academic and personal goals. Students will develop a strong voice to express thoughts and ideas in the community, the confidence to showcase their talents, and academic and personal successes in preparation for entry into college and the world of work.

Community Reading Day

The students and staff of the Page Hilltop Elementary School continued their celebration of literacy month with their annual Community Readers Day.  We welcomed 30 different community members and public officials, each of whom read to a classroom of excited students.  These special guest readers also took time to share with students what their respective occupations were and why literacy was vital to their daily work.  We would like to thank the following individuals for helping us to celebrate the magic of reading:  Senator Jamie Eldridge, Representative Sheila Harrington, Superintendent of Schools Mary Malone, Ayer Town Administrator Robert Pontbriand, Ayer Fire Chief Bob Pedrazzi, Ayer Police Chief Bill Murray, Ayer Police Lt. Brian Gill, SRO Jen Bigelow, Parks & Rec. Director Jeff Thomas, School Committee Member Joyce Reischutz, Ayer Kiddie Depot Director Jonie Latimer-Brady, Ayer Community School Director Susan Napper, NMSB members Steve Sugar, Stefani Rivetts, Alexandria Dubose, Diane King, Claire Brady, Bill Keyles & Deb Parsons, Nashoba Park Assisted Living Community Director Kim Dee, former teachers Edith Stephen, Lili Johnston, Ingrid Belitsky & Peg Twiss, LAW Principal Jill Peterson, former AHS Principal Don Parker, community business members Dave Berry, Randy Clemence & Susan Copeland as well as Sean & Janice from the Barnes & Nobles of Nashua, NH.
