Induction Program Mission Statement
The Induction Program for the Ayer Shirley Regional School District will provide a system of structure and support for encouraging and guiding new teachers into our school system. This collaborative program will offer opportunities for all staff members to grow in a professional, collegial, and nonjudgmental way. It will add energy and new ideas into every classroom, enhance student learning, and improve the school climate. New teachers will be offered a secure, friendly, and welcoming environment.
Induction Program Goals:

❖ To increase the retention rate of new teachers
❖ To acclimate new teachers to the culture of the school system
❖ To improve relationships between new and experienced staff members

❖ To transmit teaching knowledge and expertise to the next generation of teachers.
